Ami Paris has opened its new flagship store in Seoul. Located in the Hannam neighborhood, the store is the brand’s largest in the world, spanning over 425 square meters.

The store is conceived as an urban haven, combining Parisian style with the timeless principles of traditional Korean Hanok architecture. The idea is to create a welcoming residence and gathering place.

The arrival is part of the experience. Guests enter from the street through an underground passage, emerging into an indoor garden filled with local trees like rowan and maple. From there, they ascend to the main entrance, leaving the city’s pace behind.

The interiors use a refined mix of materials: dark oak, granite, and Maljat stone. These are combined with Ami’s signature beige limewash, gold, and mirror details. Custom wooden furniture and low seating areas encourage visitors to stay. Lighting is provided by bespoke paper fixtures, reminiscent of traditional Hanji paper, which cast a soft glow.

In line with founder Alexandre Mattiussi’s interest in art, the store launches an artist residency program with the local Pipe Gallery. The first featured artist is Korean-French contemporary artist Chansong Kim. Her work, which explores the body and skin as surfaces of memory, aligns with the store’s themes of interior and exterior, shelter and exposure.
