A.A. Spectrum unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Shifting Forms, during Paris Fashion Week. Creative Director Kevin Tallon continued to refine the label’s vision of architectural menswear. Versatility remained central to the collection’s philosophy.
Familiar tailoring was transformed through unexpected construction, most notably in the Chester jacket, trousers, shorts and bags, whose structured lines referenced traditional Chinese chests of drawers. Elsewhere, Tallon introduced inventive hybrids that reflected the brand’s experimental approach, including the “Kimolero,” merging the silhouette of a kimono with the proportions of a bolero jacket, alongside the Shiro jacket, a modern interpretation of the classic French workwear coat infused with technical cut lines and geometric precision.
Craftsmanship was another defining feature. Intricately developed smocking techniques gave the Plié shirt remarkable texture and dimension, while delicate ladder lace detailing introduced a softer, romantic quality across jackets, hoodies, knitwear and shorts. These refined elements balanced the collection’s architectural silhouettes, reinforcing the theme of masculine and feminine codes existing in harmony.
Material innovation also played an important role. Traditional hand-dyed Chinese X ramie provided breathable, lightweight fabrics ideal for summer while celebrating centuries-old textile craftsmanship. The introduction of genuine leather for the first time further elevated the collection, reflecting A.A. Spectrum’s commitment to durability and longevity rather than seasonal excess.
