ENGLISH Moving on from last week, through the Moodboard number # 2 ’WAIKIKI’, we have found the trend inspiring the new SHOELAB project. This project is powered by Hawaiian accents as well as a Miami Vice style, resulting in a pair of sandals with an aire of vintage, made from braides cane fabric and leather lining. An ode to the natural spirit of the Polynesian islands and a review of the use of materials.
Continuing along with its philosophy, SHOELAB once again is surrounded by an excellent team responsible for developing this project. Through the lens of Aitor Saavedra and his attention to capture and define every detail, we have taken a very visual route through the garments which shape the look.
This time, we rely on the resfreshing and sensual image of Sergio Carvajal of Sight Management Studio, along with make-up artist Marta Vicente, in order to recreate the authentic Waikiki boy! The shirt with floral prints by Selim de Somavilla (showed in the last edition of Valencia Fashion Week), enamel necklaces with the unique touch by Après Ski, swimsuit by the label Nit Swim and Sunglasses ‘Panamá BH’ by Super for Les Lunettes, completing the
amazing outfit and giving it a unique personality without excess. An harmonic presentation with a salt taste and ‘Shiner Eyes’ sounds by Tymphony….So, are you coming to paradise?
SPANISH Como avanzamos la semana pasada, mediante el moodboard número #2, WAIKIKI es la tendencia que inspira éste nuevo proyecto de SHOELAB, alimentado de acentos hawaianos y estilo Miami Vice. El resultado es un par de sandalias con aires vintage, construidas con tejido de caña trenzado y forradas en piel. Una oda al espíritu natural de las islas polinesias y la revisión de materiales.
Siguiendo su filosofía, SHOELAB vuelve a rodearse de un equipo muy especial para narraros este proyecto. Gracias al objetivo de Aitor Saavedra y su arte para definir cada detalle, hacemos un recorrido muy visual por las prendas que componen el look.
En esta ocasión, nos apoyamos en la imagen fresca y sensual de Sergio Carvajal de Sight Management Studio, con make-up de Marta Vicente, para recrearnos en el auténtico chico Waikiki. La camisa con estampados florales de Selim de Somavilla, que vimos en la pasada edición de Valencia Fashion Week, los collares esmaltados con el gusto singular de Après Ski, el bañador de la firma Nit Swim y las gafas Panamá BHM de Super by Les Lunettes, completan el magnífico outfit, otorgándole una gran personalidad sin excesos. Una presentación en armonía que desprende sabor a sal y suena a ‘Shiner Eyes’ de Tymphony…. ¿Vienes al paraíso?
