Name: Haydn Rockall

Age: 21

Star sign: Aries

Hometown: Billericay, Essex

Best thing to do in your hometown? Chilling with friends in the local meadows or visiting bars on the high street – its nothing on London though!

How did you get into modeling / Where were you scouted? I was buying mints in a Tesco Express when I was on a night out near Liverpool Street and I got scouted by Cesar Perin from Unsigned MGMT.

Were you interested in fashion before modeling? I’ve always enjoyed wearing smart clothes. I tend not to be too trend led. I prefer to wear what I feel comfortable in, and have my own sense of style – especially with my hair. It’s always different and looks like I just rolled out of bed. It doesn’t take long to do.

Favourite designers: I wear a lot of Hans Clothing and I really like Burberry, I’m not hugely aware of a lot of designer labels but I appreciate the work and creativity of everything, even if it’s not necessarily to my personal taste.

Most loved possession? My Black MG Midget. I absolutely love it. It’s such a head turner and on sunny days it’s perfect.

What’s your take on the modeling industry? I’ve seen loads of programs on modeling but can’t form too much of an opinion from that if I’m honest. Since I was scouted I’ve watched loads of videos about it and they made me realise just how tough the industry is. But I’m ready to work hard to make it as a model.

Who are your favourite models? Kate Moss and Sebastian Brice. She’s such an iconic model, her face is everywhere! And Sebastian actually knows my brother so I’ve seen quite a few of his campaigns. His work for Burberry is something I admire. I’d love to do some of the shoots he’s done.

What else do you do? I’m currently studying sports coaching at Northumbria University. I do a lot of football coaching and really enjoy sharing my experience and expertise with players and watching them improve as a result!

What are you most looking forward to as a model: Meeting new people and travelling. I love seeing the way the industry works and I can’t wait to travel as much as possible as a model – I’ve never been to Italy so seeing Milan would be amazing.

Most played on your iPod: I’m really into Jay-Z at the moment, I love Magna Carta Holy Grail so that’s constantly played on repeat. Other than that mainly easy listening music and good old classics – songs that motivate you to make the most of the day – I’m from a music loving family so there’s always something playing at home.

Worst job you’ve ever had? Definitely between being a Paper Boy or Car-Park Attendant…the latter probably wins. Very cold and not at all enjoyable but it was an experience.

What do you like to do when you’re in London: I enjoy sightseeing, checking out the music scenes and the bars / nightlife in London. Camden Town is cool in the day. I love experiencing the city – it’s not everyday you get to enjoy being in the best city in the world.

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done? I went traveling when I was 19 to America, Fiji, New Zealand and Australia. It was totally unplanned but I loved every minute. Meeting new people and experiencing new cultures was incredible – I visited a local Fijian tribe, sky-dived, bungee-jumped – it was just out of this world!
