Orley present us their Spring/Summer 2013 capsule of classic silhouettes in bright and unique color combinations, manufactured entirely in Italia and made of the highest quality yarns.
Orley is a knitwear label designed by Matthew Orley, Alex Orley, and SamanthaFlorence that specializes in fusing craftsmanship and design to create a wholly uniqueproduct. The Orley aesthetic draws on an array of influences, from twentieth centuryart to the Canadian outdoors.
The Spring Summer 2013 collection is an exploration ofseveral ideas through the lens of mid-twentieth century America. The starting point forthe collection was a shared trip to the renovated Islamic Wing at the MetropolitanMuseum of Art. The designers found inspiration in the intricate tapestries andreinterpreted them through their shared interest in twentieth century modernism andbold 1960s graphic design. These aesthetic details were combined with a study oftexture and innovative stitch techniques.
