The first part of the show introduces L’HOMME ROUGE’s Fall/winter collection “Blind Dimensions” where designer Jonatan Härngren have been playing with the abstract perceptions of the blind.
Following is the Spring/Summer collection named “The Garden Group”, a strong fictitious group that had an urban break-out during the green wave in the 70’s. This collection features elements like Swedish allmoge, gardening and old table cloths.
The L’HOMME ROUGE ambition is to challenge the conventional and conservative menswear norms through poetic expressions and patterns in the borderland between arts and commercial design.
Taking inspiration from English royalty and Kings’ scandals of abdications to the art paint and costumes of Ainou and African tribes or even from their own experience of brotherhood, Valentin and Florentin Glémarec explored family, power games and a affiliation.
