This season Le Fix have looked east to Riga, Latvia, for inspiration. Here, in the midst of the former Soviet republic the Copenhagen-based brand found a fashion-forward youth full of life, curiously breaking down cultural borders.
Abandoning the emotional puppet state repression that’s deeply buried in the parents’ generation, the younger generation is free of unpleasant memories of the past, preparing itself for a brighter tomorrow. While conserving a healthy skepticism of authorities, the system that once was is no longer a threat to young lives that want to unfold, want to explore, want to be lived.
The brutalist béton brut architecture of post-industrialized USSR housing projects serves as the pivotal backdrop for the campaign. The images were created with street-cast models expressing an overwhelming sense of optimism and courage. The collection mixes merino knitwear and down jackets with casual sportswear true to the Le Fix heritage.
