Emma Cantlay is studying Fashion Design and about to graduate from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen, Scotland. Her graduate collection is a mixed mens and womenswear collection based on the Berlin subway map. The idea comes from Alexanderplatz, originally stemmed from the idea that maps are two dimensional versions of a three dimensional object, in the same way that a garments pattern pieces are two dimensional versions of its three dimensional state. All six looks, once assembled into a lineup, will resemble certain routes of the Berlin underground map. The collection will embody the feeling of todays ‘urban adventurer’.
