Seoul-based sneakers brand grdslaunches ‘Resistant & Innocent’ campaign for A/W17 collection with independent Korean artists including photographer Nina Ahn and film director lWA. The shooting took place at forests and valleys in Jeju Island. The A/W17 collection draws inspiration from Kurt Cobain’s life and death. The mise-en-scène of the campaign film is in homage to Gus Van Sant’s The Last Days.
Grds is a Seoul-based sneakers label founded in 2015 by Australian-born designer Eugene Bahc. Their minimal approach to design transforms classic styles into an authentic product of which references are drawn from the art and culture. In collaboration with his father, a veteran podiatrist, a state-of-the-art biomechanical technology was developed to provide true comfort for walking in daily life.
