The Damir Doma SILENT Spring/Summer 2015 collection draws its inspiration from the arts. By interpreting the works of sculptors and minimalists from past decades, their ideas and aesthetics are translated into clothing for this collection.
The bold and graphic shapes seen in the works of Ellsworth Kelly are translated into bold tapes placed on the clothes that can be seen throughout the collection. Patch pockets are placed directly onto the pieces with the same absolute conviction as Kelly has in his works. Inspiration from the school of minimalism continues with the details that are unashamedly topstitched onto garments and graphically placed. The shapes are juxtaposed upon one another creating new forms.
