Commune de Paris has teamed up with sunglass brand Waiting for the Sun, releasing a trio of wood framed shades. The capsule collection is presented alongside the 2013 Spring/Summer collection and is composed of Commune de Paris versions of the Deux model. The wooden frames are bedecked with engraved details and offered in bright summer colours. The outer side of the frames is painted in yellow, blue, or red gloss and the lenses (Carl Zeiss) are tinted accordingly.
For the Fall/Winter 2017 collection Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, co-founders and artistic directors of Maison Kitsuné, drew their inspiration from American pop culture and the aesthetic and creative energy of New York born, Paris based, artist William Klein.
