For Spring/Summer 2015, BIBI CHEMNITZ, rekindles a special connection with Greenland. The seasonal change affects this isolated biotope profoundly. The collection aims to capture this sense of free wandering, guided by the raging elements in turmoil. Lengths, cuts and volumes are enhanced, to alter the silhouette, giving a boxy sports-like feel. Each garment comes in sets, functionally ready for mixing and matching. A hint of streetwear, notably basketball references, is added by the elongated tanks, oversized shorts and roomy tops.

Spring also means contrast, here present in the black, crisp white and azure blue notes morphed with desaturated hues of indigo and sublte beige. Additionally, graphic stripes and fresh dots have been added, suggesting movement. Further underlining this status of voyaging, is an old airways navigation map, reduced and pixellated onto certain printed garments. The lightness of the season, can be felt through the fabric selection, consisting of woven jacquards, light poplins, coated blacks, whites, breezy basketball mesh and textured weft cottons.
