The A.P.C. + CARHARTT collaboration represents a symbiosis of two brands and the two individuals at their helm, Jean Touitou of A.P.C. and Arnaud Faeh at Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP). The collection was never the construct of a marketing team, no less accountants, instead it is the wholly creative endeavour borne out of the desire to create unique and desirable product.

Featuring reworked Carhartt WIP favourites in quintessentially A.P.C. fabrics the capsule also includes sentimental elements and witty design touches. A blue print of Jean’s boat features as a print on T-shirts and also the reverse side of a watch. That watch is called “if Six was Nine”, a nod to the Jimi Hendrix song of the same name and the fact that the numbers have been switched on the watch face – wearers might need their sea legs for that one as well.

The capsule launches worldwide in A.P.C. and Carhartt WIP stores as well as a selection of multi-brand stores worldwide in late October 2013 and will be the last of the collaboration, for now!
